A man’s job and a woman’s job

In this room we have displayed the rich ethnological collection of our museum in order to present the Karlovac area with its typical handicrafts. This is where influences from the Pannonian, Alpine and Dinarian cultural areas meet, confirming in their own way Karlovac’s position as a crossroad, and at times a confluence of roads and influences. The techniques used to produce the objects displayed here can be described within the division of work between men and women.
