The society reads

This period is very important in the collective memories of our city and is best preserved in the family tree of the local library which was established in 1932 Under the name Illyrian Reading Society – it promoted literature in a language understandable to all Slavic peoples; the members’ register book is displayed in the showcase here and it is open on the page where we can see the signature of the Croatian ban Josip Jelačić.
