Ante Kovačić about The Frog puddles

The writer Ante Kovačić lived and worked in Karlovac from 1881 to 1885. Here he wrote his novel Fiškal (Thiss is ironic for Lawyer; – Wise Guy), and started writing his satirical novel Među žabari (Among the Frogmen), read: Among the Karlovac People. ( ‘’žabar’’ pejorative, also means provincial, petty bourgeois as well as a person from the inland and/or a river area, who knows nothing about the sea).
