Portrait of Karlo Petrović

As an obligatory part of the mid-19th-century bourgeois salon we have displayed here the portraits of the Petrović husband and wife by Karas. These are typical middle-class portraits from the mid-19th century which were commissioned from Karas in 1856, as the notes at the back of the paintings read.
