At home
With the exception of the fire-place and the chandelier which are slightly older, this room houses items from 19th-century-households, more precisely from the reception room also called salon. Even today, many of our fellow citizens keep in their homes a piece of furniture, dishes and some paintings from that time. How should we then define the style of this imaginary salon in which two-three generations have left a trace, reaching for objects produced mainly in the wider central European settings?
