The Coat of Arms and Statute of Karlovac
The symbols of the city bearings such as the charter, coat of arms, signet-rings, the mayoral chain of honour, the statute and various other papers and documents tell us aobut the civil honour and the traditions of the Free and Royal City of Karlovac.
The coat of arms is depicted on an oval shield which is divided into three parts. There is a golden crown above the shield. On both sides, the shield is held by a siren – fish maidens - each supporting her golden locks with her other hand.
