Cultural profile of the border area

The cultural profile of the border area may be better understood also through several wooden sculptures of saints displayed in this room, probably the work of local masters. The medieval woodcarving tradition and the spirit of folk piety persevered in the 18th century.

Nevertheless, this cultural profile should be supplemented with an insight into the richer, imported equipment of Franciscan and Pauline monasteries which can be visited in Karlovac and its surroundings.
