The Antiquity – The Kupa flows through Dalmatia and Pannonia
We owe some of our insights into the culture of the late Bronze Age in our region to the Romans. We are referring to the records which originated on the eve of and during General Octavian’s march, which started in 35 B.C. in the province of Illyricum - that is in the land of the Iapydes and the Colapians. In two years the Romans managed to cover the areas from Senj to Sisak, and in the next century, various parts of the Pokuplje region became part of the provinces of Pannonia and Dalmatia.
