The Bronze age

The Bronze Age therefore denotes the first period in which metal was used in in our area. Bronze is an alloy production of which requires highly specialised technique, and it also testifies to the development of trade and the mobility of the population.

Mobility was necessary in order to obtain the ingredients for the production of bronze from separate copper and pewter fields and also to import bronze to places where it was not produced, which is the case with the Pokuplje area.
